AYRA 2026

Price range: 686 € through 934 €

Our lightwind kite, handmade in Tarifa. The Ayra flies in what everyone else calls unrideable — instant power, rock-steady at the zenith, clean drift for the surf and effortless lift on a foil. Light in the air, light in the hands, and easy from day one. It gets you on the water. Not the kite. The feeling.

Flying was never this easy

Performance

Why the Ayra

The Ayra is our lightwind kite — built for the days most people stay on the beach. Foil, surf, twin tip, marginal-day freeride: it’s the kite that turns a forecast you’d normally skip into the session you talk about all week.

Light in the air and light in the hands, with a centred surface that gives you real pull rather than the vague, floaty drag most big kites settle for. In light wind it’s immediate. Early planing, easy upwind, power that arrives when you sheet in rather than three seconds later. When the wind goes patchy or offshore, the Ayra stays honest — no surprises, no sudden loading, just a kite that keeps flying while you get on with the session.

Foil

it’s the whole point. Stable in [6–8] knots, it accelerates off nothing and transitions smoothly. Bar feedback stays clear and the power stays enjoyable — never a handful.

In the Surf

It drifts. Turns tight on the wingtip, stays compact overhead, and gives you the tolerance to ride underpowered and still be in the right place on the wave. Marginal conditions stop being a compromise.

In the twintip

it’s simply fun. Fast enough to be playful, floaty enough for long hang time, easy enough that big lightwind boosts. Accessible from your first sessions, and still enough kite for a very advanced rider.

01Frame

Holds its shape under pressure

An ultra-resistant Dacron leading edge keeps the profile true when only one strut is holding it. At 9–10 psi the frame stays rigid across the range instead of flexing away from your input.

Less frame, more feel

One strut makes the kite significantly lighter, which sharpens responsiveness and light-wind efficiency. Better drift, smoother handling — what wave riders and foilers ask for first.

Back up on the first pull

A single-rib kite comes off the water far more easily when the wind is thin. The minimal structure lets it pivot and catch air quickly, cutting drag and the chance of collapse.

Light enough to stay lit

Low weight is what makes the AYRA smooth underfoot and keeps it sitting in the air rather than falling out of the window. It carries the kite through the lulls.

Built where it’s flown Most kites are designed in one country and made in another, with an ocean and six months between the two. Ours aren’t. All the kites and wings are cut, glued, sewn and printed in Tarifa, in the same building it was designed in, by the same people who ride it — so when someone comes off the water with a note about bar pressure or how the kite sits in a lull, the panel gets recut that week, not next season.
