Warranty And Returns

Best Kiteboarding puts product quality first. We developed, implemented and continuously improved strict quality control (QC) protocols benefitting from over 15 years of company history. Today there is not a single kite, bar or board which hasn't been subject to a detailed quality check before making its way into the shipping box.

24 Months Warranty

We feel confident to offer a warranty period of two years on all our products except for Surfboards. Best Kiteboarding warrants all products sold by Best to be delivered free of defects in material or workmanship for as long as it is owned by the original purchaser unless otherwise specified on the product.

Excluded from coverage under this warranty are the following:

  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse or neglect.
  • Damage caused by improper mounting or adjustment of hardware.
  • Damage caused from crashes/slams.
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Damage caused by anything other than defects in material or workmanship.
  • Damage caused by use of solvents, adhesives or LOC-TITE®.
  • Damage caused by use of non-Best hardware for mounting pads/straps.
  • Damage to Best products caused by non-Best products.
  • Any and all claims for consequential or incidental damages.

All coverage under this warranty is void if any modification, change or alteration has been made to the product that is not specifically authorized in writing by Best. Repaired or replaced products are covered for the remainder of the original warranty only. Repaired or replaced items will always be subject to factual product availability. Best will always try to match colors and styles; however, we cannot guarantee that you will receive the exact same looking product back in exchange.

There are no deviating verbal warranty conditions to Best product. Material damage from misuse or any other impact related damage are not covered under this warranty. All warranties implied by state law, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are hereby limited to the duration of the written warranty. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you. With the exception of any warranties implied by state law as hereby limited, the foregoing express limited warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, guarantees, agreements and similar obligations of manufacturer or seller.

This warranty only applies to products bought directly from Best Kiteboarding or an authorized Best dealer. Secondhand purchases, or ebay purchases (and the like) are not covered under warranty, even if the products were listed as “new” or appear to be sold via a shop through such peer-to-peer platform.

This warranty is void if…

  • any modification or alteration has been made to the product.
  • the product has been previously repaired.
  • non Best products were used and resulted in the failure.

If a product is found to be defective by Best, in its sole discretion, Best's only responsibility shall be limited to repair or replacement of the defective product. Best will not be responsible for any costs, losses or damages incurred as a result of loss or use of product. This warranty is subject to the described limitations in addition to any imposed by virtue of applicable law.

The warranty applies only to Best products purchased from authorized Best dealers or online on bestkiteboarding.com and is valid for the original purchase.

Additional Conditions for Best Pro Surfboards

Best makes every effort to produce hand shaped surfboards that are of highest quality and standards. Numerous quality control checks are in place at our facilities to ensure our surfboards are well constructed and free of defects. Due to the high impact nature of surfing with a kite, we cannot guarantee the durability of any board. Furthermore, we do not guarantee our products against damage or breakage under any circumstance. Once you have received the board, the handling and use of it are outside our control. Thus, we cannot warranty our products for any reason, including but not limited to: breaking of fins or the fin boxes, chipped cracking or warping of board resins, buckling of the board and/or the boards foam, and sun damage from heat and UV rays. Regular wear and tear (i.e. heel dings) should be expected and is not covered by any warranty.

Please note that all Best Pro surfboards are shaped completely by hand and we cannot warranty or credit for any type of cosmetic issue(s). A cosmetic issue is considered anything that does not affect the structural integrity or performance of the surfboard, which includes, but is not limited to, the finish on the board, variations in color or in dimensions. If you have an issue with the board you received, you must send photos to us via email within three business days of delivery/pickup of your board.

Terms and Conditions

  • Only applicable to shipping addresses in the US, CA and EU.
  • You will be responsible for shipping charges back to us. In case you made use of a Free Shipping promo you will also be billed the outbound shipping cost when you return the product.
  • We are obliged to do a thorough check of the used product upon return to the warehouse. When returning a used product, you will be charged :

$/€49 check and refurbishment fee per boards or bars

$/€99 check and refurbishment fee per kite only or packs ( 2x1 / Kite+bar )

  • You can only make use of the 14 day free return policy once per product. You cannot use it multiple times on the same product.
  • This policy only applies to kites, twin tip boards and bars. No other product can be returned used.
  • You must return the product in the original shipping boxes in which the product came.
  • Abuse is not covered. You need to return the product with normal wear and tear. Following instances are considered abuse:


  • Scratches on the Dacron
  • Rips in the canopy material
  • Not air-tight inflation system
  • Damage to bridle lines
  • Missing sleeve
  • Wet or completely dirty
  • Boards

  • Scratches of more than 3cm on the top or bottom sheet
  • Broken Footpads or handle
  • Broken inserts
  • Damaged fins
  • Missing fins
  • Bars

  • Grip peeling off
  • Damage to lines
  • Missing bar bag

  • Crash Replacement

    All of us want to enjoy kiteboarding to the fullest – go hard, or go home. It's in the nature of our sport that sometimes tricks go south and even the strongest gear can break. Our crash replacement program offers original owners the least expensive method for exchanging a kite or a board after an impact or accident. The strong forces of a heavy crash or impact can adversely affect your kite or board, causing damage. Certain damages may not be repairable and the warranty does not apply to accidents.

    Thus we offer an inexpensive option for obtaining a new Best kite or board with our crash replacement program. The offer is valid within one year from the date of purchase. Best voluntarily offers you the same or a comparable product at a special crash replacement price. Please contact us if you would need to take advantage of Best's crash replacement program. You will be obliged to provide the damaged product, your original purchase receipt, as well as a detailed description of the accident in order to investigate the incident. The crash replacement service is limited to the original owner and only applies to damage which is affecting safety or functionality of the product. We reserve the right to suspend this service on a case-by-case basis if we determine that damage was caused on purpose or as an intended attempt to take advantage of Best's policies.
