After a highly successful weekend at the Spanish Nationals, where there were 80 registered riders, Best would like to congratulation its riders for their incredible all-around performances: Spanish Champions 2008

• Men's Freestyle: Alvaro Onieva, 2nd year in a row
• Kid's Freestyle: Patrick Blanc
• Freestyle Junior female: Marina Nuñez
• Race male: Sami Gali
• Race female: Gina Esteve

Marina Nuñez was also also 3rd ranked in the overall female competition.

After two days of travelling on five different planes from the Triple S event in Hatteras, Alvaro showed up one day late and had to fight his way through 9 heats in the double elimination ... almost 3 hours of nonstop competition kiting, successfully defending his 2007 title. "I did a sequence of nine heats in a row, non-stopping ... it was a mission ... kind of crazy and at the same time exciting because I was getting more and more tired an the level of riding was increasing as well."
