Best Schools Premier Destination: Real Kiteboarding
Cape Hatteras, North Carolina
Welcome to Cape Hatteras, North Carolina, home to North Carolina's only Official
Best Kiteboarding School, REAL Watersports. REAL has been the North American leader
in kiteboard instruction for the past 7 years and invites you to come to Cape Hatteras
to learn to kiteboard.
Cape Hatteras is located off the east coast of northern North Carolina. The slim
strip of island offers riding in every wind direction. Furthermore, Cape Hatteras
boasts some of the best kiteboarding in the world because of the variety of riding.
Kiteboard SchoolWith more than 7 years of experience instructing new and
seasoned riders, REAL Coaches are simply the best at what they do. The REAL school
is stocked with a full line of Best Kites. All water lessons have a maximum 2:1
student to coach ratio to assure lots of personal interaction and involvement during
lessons. In addition, all coaches have personal watercrafts during instruction.
When you take a lesson with REAL, there's no walking up wind.
If you're just learning to kiteboard, the Pamlico Sound is probably the best place
to learn to kiteboard. The sound is waist deep for as far as the eye can see. This
means no swimming and no deep water relaunching. If you crash your kite and lose
your board, simply stand up and walk back to it; no problems!
If you're a seasoned rider, there is every condition for you to choose from. There
are lots of flat water riding spots for tweaked out wake style in addition to miles
of ocean for riding in the surf.
Take one of our 3 daykitecamps to maximize your kiteboarding learning curve. REAL
Kiteboarding invented the “Kite Camp” back in 2000. Since then, REAL has been teaching
camps full time and has evolved the program through feedback from thousands of students
and a full-time roster of over 20 coaches. For seven years, our staff has been dedicated
to "Making New Riders Everyday" and progressing riders' skills beyond heights they
never thought achievable. Our experience in instruction is unmatched. If you are
thinking of becoming a kiteboarder or advancing your current skills, REAL Kite Camps
