What an interesting weekend.
Friday 20 April
Friday afternoon saw Alex riding the cliffs of Pacifica over looking the ocean the town below. What a crazy spot to ride. The Paragliders were loving it, but to kite it was a little sketchy. But with such beautiful backdrops and scenery, Alex raced to give it a shot. It was a great place to shoot with the Pacific Coast cliffs and ocean below.
We rode there till the wind died and Alex collected some more gravel rash before heading down to Ocean Beach for a sunset shoot. The boys both rode for the still camera as the sun glowed its last rays for us with great results.
We scored some great photos with the flash as they rode till dark with our friend Slawek hanging around to help out and film.

Friday night we moved to Crissy Field to be prepared for the next days demo with Evan from Live 2 Kite. Unfortunately, the weather gods were against us as it rained all afternoon and well into the night. So we shacked up at the Java Beach Café for the afternoon to do some emails and hang out with Slawek. As things rolled along, Jim decided he wanted to get some more artwork done whilst he was here. Luckily, there was a local tattoo artist in the café at the time. An hour later, we were back at his house and Jim was turning his number 13 tattoo into a "lucky" 13, along with a diamond on the base of his hand to match the star on the opposite hand. Random it was, but it still happened. A couple of hours later and Jim was covered in a little more ink. Thanks Tattoo Steve and Andrea for their hospitality!
Sunday 22 April
Sunday saw us rise to a beautiful day under the Golden Gate. The rain had cleared, the sky had cleared, and the wind was starting to blow. A quick call to Evan and we decided to meet at 3rd Ave to ride and demo out the gear. On the way we dropped by Jeff's school in Burlingame to check out his set up. The Wind Over Water set up is perfect for learning to kite, and with the new facilities being built, this place will surely be one of the best places in the Bay to start kiteboarding.

Third Ave was starting to blow, even if it was a little gusty. We pumped up a bunch of kites at the north launch area and demoed them out to the locals to try for the afternoon, with the help of Evan and John J. The wind was a little flukey, but people loved the kites all the same and we hung out till sunset. Thanks to all the locals for letting us drop by their spot and demo for the afternoon.
Monday 23 April
Sunday night saw us back to our usual camp area at Half Moon Bay to clean up and dump down the tanks after a few days in the city area. So another Monday on the road and a perfect day it is. Hopefully, the wind will blow this afternoon so we can hit the cliffs of Pacifica, as the tide will be too high to ride the beaches later in the day. Jake will be on the bus tomorrow to take over the drivers role as I fly out and the boys will be moving down the coast to Pismo and then to LA later in the week.
More soon before I leave. Thanks to everyone in the Bay area for being so friendly. We can't step of the bus in this city without people asking about the tour and us!!
