A few very cool items of note as we sail into the South Pacific.
We crossed the equator en route to the Galapagos two weeks ago. Actually we
swam, in about 10,000 feet of water. To view the stunning photos and some
interesting animal encounters in the Galapagos, please have a look at our recent
logs.

The crew of The Best Odyssey has changed for the 08' season. We
have not one, but two new chefs, Hannah and Lars. They met working at the
famous three star Michelin accredited "Fat Duck" restaurant, and
have been blowing everyone away with their creations. On our passage from Panama to the Galapagos we were treated to
Ono and Yellowfin fresh caught in more ways than I knew were possible. With
background in many different ethnic cuisines and a passion for food, Hannah
and Lars have turned the Best Odyssey into a culinary extravaganza as much as
a kiteboarding expedition. And now that we have our much-anticipated paragliding winch
installed and ready to use, the pilots in our group can now take to the skies
on light days and fly thousands of feet over paradise.

The Best Odyssey recently picked up a great new sponsor, Surftech surfboards, who
generously provided the expedition a SUP (Stand Up Paddle Board) which has
already become a daily staple that we are each fighting over. I never knew
getting a great work out could be so much fun. HIGHLY recommended. In
celebration of the new sponsorship, Surftech and Offshore
Odysseys have combined to offer owners and guests of The Best Odyssey
with a special exclusive discount on Surftech SUP's. To take advantage of
this offer, please use our contact page and put "Surftech" in the comments
section.

Lastly, we've changed the schedule to offer the last three Adventure
shares, and have just opened one additional Epic share. As we have completed one year
of the expedition, these remaining shares, and the last chance to join The
Best Odyssey are now offered at a discount to provide new owners with 4 trips
over the next 4 years of the expedition through the South Pacific,
Micronesia, Indonesia and the Far East, the Indian Ocean, Red Sea and
Mediterranean. To view some of this incredible
itinerary, filled with Humpback whales, Manta rays, incredible surf
breaks, and the most remote
kiteboarding on earth in style, visit our
schedule, now current through early 2010. Want to join the expedition? Enquire here.
