The New Face of the RIAL Marketing Campaign

Although my post from the car race was quite a while ago, I never told you what came out of it: I became the new face of the marketing campaign of RIAL (www.rial.de), a company that produces light-weight wheels and that is part of the UNIWHEELS group. My first "job" for RIAL was a 2- day photo shoot in Germany in the biggest studio for car photography, "GAUKLER Studios." It was a shoot for the RIALs product catalogue and we shot different motifs with different cars and of course, their rims.

This shooting was quite an unusual and interesting one for me. I had never seen such a huge studio (3 floors, many photographers and assistants, and huge rooms, as they also photograph trucks in there). Also, it was it super interesting for me to see how they set up the lights, using movable walls and roofs to put the car into the right light. Preparing the cars was a mission, as they had to be cleaned (it was snowing outside!!!) and polished, rims had to be changed, and the cars had to be turned into certain angles.

My part was a very easy one in comparison: have fun with the make up artist, dress nicely, smile and do whatever the photographer wanted me to do.

At the same time, I got to meet everybody (well, at least the director and the marketing people) from RIAL that I had not met before and we all (including the Studio staff) were having a great time, laughing a lot and doing the best job possible.

The results were great and so we left the GAUKLER Studios happily 2 days later.

As I had specially flown in from Australia, I went on to Berlin to visit my parents for 2 days and then went back to Australia where I will be most of the winter to practice and to catch up with Peter and Gavin and Joe and Mel and lots of Best people.

But it is not yet time to settle down and relax a little for a few months. I was only in Australia for a week, before I had to leave for the final stop of the KPWT in New Caledonia. Here I am right now, the last KPWT World Cup, which will kick off here in only 2 days time and I am getting ready.
