On Thursday, August 7th, I went to "Sportscentre Kienbaum" to do a TV recording for the German TV channel RBB, where a show with the name "Shortly before Beijing" was filmed.
More than one third of the German Olympians had been preparing for the Games in the sports center here in Kienbaum. The TV Crew from RBB was about to find out exactly what they've been doing here and what was important for them to find in Kienbaum.
I felt very honored to be part of this Pre-Olympic production, especially as I was able to explain kiteboarding on the beach of a lake closeby ... with no wind, unfortunately but at least with the equipment. After all, not everybody can become an Olympic Athlete, but almost everybody can become a kiteboarder! :)
The first part of the show aired in Germany on Friday, August 8th, and the second part aired on RBB on Monday, August 11th, at 10 to 5 (which is also the name of the show).
