Best Kiteboarding was launched in 2003 driven by passion and love for kiteboarding. From the beginning of the business, Bestkiteboarding has a strong dedication that still remains the same, which is you, our customer.

Best began as a pure kiteboarding company. We didn’t grow out of windsurfing or any other sport, so we’ve never had to deal with any legacy protocols. From the very beginning our spirit has been to challenge the status quo and bring innovation to everything we do. We’re driven by our obsession with our customers; people like you who love kiting like us.

To get closer to our customers meant that we had to break up the old and tired business methods of the past. We pioneered new communication technologies. We were the first in the industry to have a direct customer service hotline. We established an open forum on our website and still today we’re the only brand you can reach directly via chat or Skype.

We pioneered a modern distribution model. The first innovation that we brought to the market was a process, not a product. Our obsession with putting customers above all else led to the industry’s first direct-to-consumer sales model. We followed that up by adding a direct-to-retailer sales model, to include local shops and schools in our rapidly growing family. We cut distributors out of the chain and operate our own centralized warehouses that efficiently serve the major markets. In an industry with limited production sources and low barriers to entry, it’s difficult to find cost-advantages. The disruption that we brought to the market by bypassing distributors allowed us to charge lower prices and pass the savings to our customers.

We continuously pushed the boundaries despite all efforts from our competitors to stop us. At times, we overdid it and not everything turned out the way we wanted or expected. We’ve learned that innovation needs to be easily observable, highly accessible, and must deliver substantial value to you. We have always stood up to take responsibility for our mistakes and we view each of them as an opportunity to improve, because we care about you.

We believe in making sure our partners share our values. In order to make our gear affordable, we do manufacture some of it in nations where employees earn low wages. Because we aware of that we carefully select our suppliers and ensure that they share our values and meet our standards for the fair treatment of employees. We communicate our values to all the people who touch our products, so they are aware of what we expect – and what we deliver.

We believe in strong relationships. This commitment has led to our developing of durable and long-standing partnerships with the world’s leading suppliers. The strength of our partnership with leading kiteboarding suppliers strengthens our relationship with you, our customers, who only receive the most reliable products, delivered on time. Our industry leading warranty policy speaks for itself.

We believe in kiteboarding. Today, we are focused entirely on kiteboarding and have made the conscious decision to stay out of the latest trends in watersports to focus uniquely on the sport we love. Sure, we like to take a paddle on a SUP, say, and most of us get out regularly. But, we also like surfing, biking, running, soccer and golf…

We believe in value and reasonable prices. We know that some people think our lower prices mean lower quality. Yet we have more happy customers than almost any other brand. These tens of thousands of stoked and open-minded riders who freed themselves from prejudices motivate us to continue on the path we have blazed!

We believe in protecting the awesome planet that allows us to pursue our passions. We aim to do a fair business and to limit any negative impact we might have on nature and society. We’ve created industry-leading waste reduction programs such as “Take Away and Save” and collaborate with a variety of organizations that reuse our materials. Over the years we have participated in countless charitable activities.
