DAKHLA, MOROCCO - In the middle of the Saharan Desert, there lies a 40 km long lagoon, parallel to the West African Atlantic Ocean. This place, is recently known as one of the most beautiful water sport paradises on Earth. The 'SPEED SPOT' is pure flat, flat, flat!

Approximately 35km from the airport you have our WindfishPRO kite and windsurfing center. The beach and accommodations have an astonishing view over the whole 400km long lagoon and dragon Island.
With large and sandy beaches without obstacles, this makes it easy to launch and land kites and also increases the safety. The hotel Dakhla Attitude Beach club bungalowsare only 50meters away and the bedouin tent camp, is at about 3 minutes walk from the center.

The Windfish PRO center is situated in the very South of Morocco right in the middle of the Western Saharan desert. There is a 400m2 lagoon that lies parallel to the Atlantic ocean with perfectly flat water on the lagoon and great Atlantic waves on the ocean side. Because of a thermic climate it is windy all year long between about 18 and 25 knots.

Due to the perfect conditions, it will now be the 3rd year in a row that the freestyle and wave kiteboarding world cup is held, right in front of our center.

CONDITIONS:

The climate

The temperature during day time is around 20-25 degrees, all year round. With the water temperature about the same, a shorty or thin longsuit are largely sufficient.
During the night, it can get a little fresh (14-18°C) and it is advised to bring a good sweater and long pants.



About the rain, you absolutely don't need to worry, as it rains as good as never.

A thermical wind


Due to the chill nights, and a quicker heating of the land compared to the water, a perfect thermical wind is created with strength of about 20 knots every day.
Usually the strongest winds are during the summer months July, August and September (25+ knots) and during the winter months December, Januari and February, the wind is usually a little lighter (around 15-25 knots)
Due to the great wind conditions, many professional wind and kitesurfers decide to spend their trainings in Dakhla.

HOW TO GET HERE?

Dakhla has a brand new airport, with main flights from Casablanca, Agadir, Marrakech as well as from the Canary islands,
The easiest way to book your flight ticket is through the website www.royalairmaroc.comwith a stopover in Casablanca.
On the way back most European flights have to spend the night at the nearby airport hotel (approximately 45€ per person/ breakfast included).
As soon as you arrive in the airport of Dakhla, they will have your driver waiting to bring you to the accommodations at the lagoon.

RENTAL AND LESSONS

We teach with the latest Kahoona models of BEST KITEBOARDING and the high quality models for renting such including the Kahoona, TS and GP for the most advanced kiters.
The price for one week full equipment rental is 225€ and a beginner lesson package of 9 hours: 265 € in group / 395 € in semi private.

Rooms:

The rooms (9m2) are provide with internet availability and 2 comfortable beds with covers and blankets. The toilet and shower facilities are in common use with the other persons in the tent camp.

Standard: Bungalow room


Rooms:

The rooms (14m2) are provide with internet availability, private bath room and there are double to 5 persons rooms with comfortable beds, covers and blankets. All bungalow rooms have a breath-taking view over the lagoon and dragon island.
Compared to the comfort rooms, these rooms are a little smaller and are situated at approximately 10 min walk from the restaurant.

Single room: 455€ p.p.
Double room: 385 € p.p.
Tripple room: 350 € p.p.
4 persons room: 315 € p.p.

Comfort: Bungalow supérior room



Rooms:

The rooms (16m2) are provide with internet availability, private bath room and 1-2 comfortable beds with covers and blankets. All bungalow rooms have a breath-taking view over the lagoon and dragon island.
