Tuesday 24th April

Cheerio Gavin! So we went hunting for food at midnight after dropping Gavin off. It's a funny story which doesn't really make any sense, but we ended up walking through a drive through, in-line with other cars at a Burger King.

Wednesday 25th April

Today the wind was just insane. Jake managed to get out on the water on a small kite while Jim and I shot some landboarding footage on Ocean Beach.

Thursday 26th April

This morning we had a super early start, Jim was flying out and nothing was ready. As usual, nobody woke during the alarm so we had to skip breakfast and bust ass to the airport. Cheerio Jimmy! It was a blast having you here ripping it up. Check out Jim in Drill 2 when it comes out.

Jake and I hung about Ocean Beach all day and got a short photo shoot in before heading back to the airport to pick up my friends Gabe and Tyson from Oregon who were also at the NABX in Vegas last month. They flew out to help me finish production on Drill 2 and start work on a new video project. Welcome aboard the RV, guys.

Friday 27th April

Today we left San Francisco and headed over to kitesurfing hotspot Waddell Creek to stop by for a fly. We found a dope dropoff from the parking lot onto the beach which we rode for the afternoon before driving down the coast to Pismo Beach.

Saturday 28th April

As usual, we woke to no wind, so we headed over to Lake Lopez for the annual gradu"Wake"tion wakeboarding event. We hooked up with our buddy James Ropner for the afternoon at Pismo Beach, and were able to get a little lightwind kiting in, but nothing crazy. We packed up early and chilled out on the beach in the sun with chickies. Welcome to Southern California!

Sunday 29th April

Again we had no wind, so we spent the morning cleaning the RV and dumping the tanks. Chickies in Southern California! Behind me is the feathered cape I've taken to wearing around my shoulders, for some real Gangsta bling, ha ha.

Monday 30th April

Unfortunately, our time was up at Pismo, our next stop was LA. We had a blast in the gridlock, passing out posters to all the old guys who fancied Kate and Rachel on our posters (who doesn't?). We arrived at Long Beach in the late afternoon. I rigged up my 13m Bularoo and went for a downwind run to Seal Beach with Gabe. It was pretty cold when we'd finished, and we had to hitch a ride 5 miles up the coast back to the bus.

Tuesday 1st May

Today we hooked up with Captain Kirk for his shop demo on Long Beach. We had just about enough wind for most kiters to get upwind on the 17's, so it wasn't too disappointing. Everyone was stoked with the new Yarga we had out, and all good things were said about the kites everyone flew which was good to hear. Jake taught a few of his old friends from high school how to fly kites in sign language. It was super inspiring to watch and they all picked it up so fast! Nice one, Marina and Zach!

Thanks everyone, for coming out, and keep an eye out for the next RV video to see if you made it in!

P.S. I know I keep promising RV videos but this time I really mean it. Otherwise, Stacey is going to fire me. She's already sent me the angry photo.
