The Best Kiteboarding R&D program takes place all over the world. Our two main research and development facilities are in Western Australia and Brazil. Product development takes place in Australia for 6 months of the year, the team then moves onto Brazil for further testing, while some members travel the Globe for the rest of the year fine tuning product for the upcoming season.

Direct customer feedback plays an important role in the development of every Best Kiteboarding product, that’s why you are welcome anytime at our Brazil R&D facility to come and try the latest products under development. While you are there, there is a good chance you will get to meet many of the team who are responsible for your favorite products every season. Take the time to stop them and chat, we really do value your feedback.

Alongside our demanding testing schedule are numerous visits to each one of our production facilities. Kite production is closely overseen by our designer Peter Stiewe, with each step/change being verified on location to make sure that every kite produced is exactly as it was intended. Numerous conferences take place with our materials suppliers every season, as new cloths are developed, tested and readied for possible production. Our particularly close relationship with Cubic Tech Corp has enabled us to develop a range of advanced technical fabrics that have allowed our HP and older Pro range of kites to deliver unmatched technical performance.

When near-final versions of kites have been made, small batches are shipped out to testers across the USA, Europe, South Africa and Australia. We put all of our kites into the hands of the toughest and most demanding riders on the planet, not just competitive riders, but riders of all ages and all levels who each have a completely different set of requirements. Only when each kite has been refined and tuned to perfection do they make their way into production and onto the shelves of our dealers worldwide.
