For 08 our board R&D program has one simple goal;to deliver boards that make your riding more enjoyable and easier than ever before. We’ve introduced several new board ranges for the 08 season based on construction techniques and advanced materials that we pioneered for the 07 line up.
The Drive boards, always firm favorites with advanced riders, have been improved upon and replaced by the new Ouija series, with the larger board replacing the smallest Float model. The Ouija series offers a flat and fast outline for cutting through chop and boosts like no other due to its fine balance of flex and damping. The larger Float board has been replaced by the new Aroona, which adds even more width and faster planing to take you into the territory covered by last year’s Chubby board.
The Spark series has been expanded to offer three boards for riders of all sizes. The poplar wood core has been improved for 08 with select grained woods placed under the heel and rail area to provide beginner riders with greater response and feedback. The new Spark is stronger and lighter than ever thanks to our development of 3D Matrix-flex control zones in the tips of the board, giving you a butter smooth board to take the sting out of the choppiest sessions.
The 5’7 and 6’0 Thruster Waveboards finish off the line up. The R&D team chased waves on five different continents to bring you the perfect Waveboards, the 5’7 for big wave experts and the 6’0 for riders making their first explorations out into big surf.
