Whilst it's true that you 'can' snowkite with any snowboard, only a custom designed snowkiteboard is going to give you the complete freedom to take on the snow in any wind conditions and any environment.
The new Best Snowkiteboard has been designed with one purpose in mind, to rip from backcountry to wind blown snow plains, if you are going to spend the winter behind a kite then this is the board to have beneath you.
Our unique 20m sidecut radius delivers a board that is supremely stable in a straight line. With a longer straighter effective edge, riders experience much less calf pressure from their bindings and are able to ride longer and harder with less fatigue.
Less sidecut also means you can truly pop from your edge without worrying about tripping the nose or catching the tail of the board. We've dialled in the flex where you need it, tip and tail, for boosting huge, but without sacrificing control at speed, or cushioning from heavy landings. With its raised 'tip and tail' the Best Snowkiteboard pops it's nose up as quickly and starts planning sooner than many larger boards.
A custom designed and laminated 'tip to tail' wood core, made from selected poplar grains offers maximum effective edge control. Laminate orientation has been designed to give you power transmission from the heels and the toes whilst still retaining enough flex to give you the smoothest ride across the gnarliest ice sections and hard-packed snow.
Used at high speeds and over rough terrain behind a kite, normal snowboards quickly become out of their depth, they develop speed chatter and edge wobble. Our groundbreaking rubber-foil dampening inserts ensure you don't loose edge control even at high speeds across the roughest terrain.
A higher than average board camber and stiffness between the bindings counteracts the load from the kite when riding. Snowboards only have to take the riders weight, a snowkiteboard needs to take this weight and resist pulling loads from the kite which can be many times greater. If you don't want your board to bow up and start riding flat before the season is half over then you need to add camber and make sure the lay-up is built all-mountain tough.
Our sintered base sucks up wax for maximum board speed in all conditions and reduced workshop down time. When your daily ride consists of snow, ice, rock and maybe even a little car-park, you need the toughest base material available.
